DDR5 RAM is selling for up to six times the retail prices on Ebay.
Graphics cards aren’t the only things selling for ridiculous prices this holiday season. The ongoing DDR5 shortage has spawned an influx of scalpers on Ebay selling the new RAM for up to six times the retail price.
A search of completed auctions on Ebay reveals quite a few DDR5 RAM kits bought for way more than the typical asking price. Take the Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB bundle for example. The retail price is $339.99, but several Ebay listings have sold for prices like $2,399.99 and $2,500. Keep in mind that these sales could be misleading; buyers could still cancel the orders, and if we’re being conspiratorial, we might even suggest that some unscrupulous buyers are faking these sales themselves to make demand look hot. But the number of sold listings that are even three times the normal price suggest that at least some of these kits are selling for wildly inflated prices. A look at other DDR5 sticks shows similar results, like the Crucial 32GB set
Ebay Terapeak graph of DDR5 average sale prices
Ebay’s Terapeak tool lets you see the average sale price for certain items. Over the weekend the average sold prices peaked at $2,500, but have steeply declined to $595 since then. If you scroll through the list of sold items, you’ll still see several listings going for at least twice what they should cost. It’s possible the prices will continue to trend downward, but for now, it’s hard to tell given the spikes in the recent past.
DDR5 RAM is only supported by Intel’s newly-released Alder Lake CPUs. They’re incredibly impressive CPUs and they’re in stock, which means people are buying them up, possibly without being able to get their hands on the RAM to go with them. The problem is that the new RAM modules use PMIC (power management integrated circuits) to handle power management directly on the sticks instead of on the motherboard. The addition of this new component has caused its own supply chain problems, bottlenecking production and jacking up prices all around.
You can’t find DDR5 RAM on any retailer’s site at the moment, so Ebay seems like the only answer. But it’s not quite: DDR4 RAM is totally fine still, even with an Alder Lake CPU. DDR4 ram is still abundant and you won’t have to pay a fortune for it. Some Z690 motherboards that support the Alder Lake CPUs support DDR4 RAM, so if you’re looking to make this upgrade, you shouldn’t have to look far.

Rams vs. Packers live stream: How to watch Sunday’s NFL game on FOX via live stream – DraftKings Nation

Published

on

Filed under:
FOX is broadcasting Sunday’s NFL game between the LA Rams and Green Bay Packers in Week 12. We break down the schedule and how to watch the game via live stream.
FOX will be broadcasting Sunday’s NFL game between the LA Rams and Green Bay Packers. The two NFC powerhouses will square off with the outcome potentially having an impact on the No. 1 seed in the conference. Kickoff from Lambeau Field in Green Bay is set for 4:25 p.m. ET.
The Rams are looking to rebound after going into the bye on a two-game losing streak. Odell Beckham Jr. will likely be more involved after having a chance to get up to speed with the playbook. Von Miller should also be more involved in this game. LA’s offense will look to get back on track after scoring just 26 points over the last two games.
The Packers are coming off a close loss to the Vikings, with the team’s defense failing to prevent Minnesota’s final drive for a game-winning field goal. Aaron Rodgers is dealing with a broken toe, but will play through the injury. The Packers have one of the league’s top defenses and will hope to keep the Rams’ struggling offense in a funk.
NFL Sunday Ticket is available via live online stream even if you don’t have a DirecTV account. The service offers a free one-week trial for both its regular and premium packages. Additionally, if you are in the given broadcast zones for these teams, you can stream Sunday’s matchup on FOX Live or through the Bally Sports app. It will require a cable login with access to FOX. If you don’t have a cable log-in, you can get a trial from YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV, AT&T TV Now, FuboTV, or Sling TV to stream the game.
Kickoff: 4:25 p.m. ET
Live stream link: FOX Live, Sunday Ticket (1-week free trial)
Moneyline odds: Rams -130, Packers +100

The World of Darkness RPG was set to be out in February, but Big Bad Wolf needs a little more time.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong, the in-development tale of politics, intrigue, and blood that is not Bloodlines 2, has been delayed again. Following a postponement earlier this year that saw it moved to February 2022, developer Big Bad Wolf has announced that it needs a little more time, and has pushed it to May.
“This wasn’t a decision we took lightly, but one necessary to ensure the highest possible quality while retaining a healthy work-life balance for our team,” the studio said. “Granted, the pandemic also threw a couple of wrenches into our planning, but this delay will allow us to apply some additional polish and give us some extra time for QA. We’re a small but very passionate team, eager to create an immersive experience that rivals the sort of personal storytelling you’d experience from a great tabletop session.”

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is the World of Darkness RPG that gets the attention, but Swansong could be a surprise sleeper hit. Big Bad Wolf’s previous game, The Council, is a narrative RPG about an 18th century secret society, and it’s really quite good: There are shortcomings, including dodgy voice acting and a lack of polish, but the writing, dialog, and character development are top notch. It forgoes the more action-focused aspects of some RPGs, but the scheming and intrigue seems like a perfect fit for the shadowy world of the Camarilla.
Another upside to the delay: It gets Swansong out of February, which is on track to be a very big month for new game releases, including Sifu, Destiny 2: The Witch King, Elden Ring, and possibly others.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong is now slated to come out on May 19, and will be an Epic Games Store exclusive at launch. Find out more at vampire-swansong.com.

Plutonium Call of Duty: Can you play on PS5, PS4, and Xbox? – Game Revolution

Published

on

If you miss the Call of Duty glory days, then the Plutonium Call of Duty platform might appeal to you. This fan-made community remasters and restores early-era CoD games for modern players, with their own servers to keep hackers away. For games like World at War and Modern Warfare 3, it’s the best way to play these games today. It’s a hit on PC, but is this fan-made service available on PS5, PS4, and Xbox?
Plutonium Call of DutyPlutonium Call of Duty
Sadly, Plutonium Call of Duty is not available to play on consoles. If you’re a PS5, PS4, or Xbox owner, you won’t be able to play these remastered versions on your system. Instead, it’s a PC-only experience, reserved only for computers.
Yes, even a cursory look at the Plutonium Call of Duty website explains why console support really isn’t feasible. Firstly, you have to install a proprietary launcher program to run these games, which wouldn’t be possible given consoles’ internet capabilities. You then have to download the revamped versions of the Call of Duty games too, where the same problem would arise.
Equally, since the revamped game’s servers are hosted privately, they wouldn’t be accessible via PS5, PS4, and Xbox. Those consoles only use the servers provided in-game, like Activision’s official servers in Call of Duty: Vanguard. Therefore, even if it was available on these platforms, you’d have a hard time getting into a game.
However, there is a silver lining, as you can use these controllers to play Plutonium Call of Duty on your PC. Yes, it’s compatible with Xbox controllers and both the DualShock 4 and DualSense of PS4 and PS5, respectively. Therefore, if you have a PC and want to use your console controller to play these revamped games, that option is there.
Elsewhere in Call of Duty, the Vanguard Dead Drop glitch is giving some players unlimited killstreaks. You can also check out our official review of the latest entry in the series.
